Ingredients
For boil the chickpeas ( Chole ) in the pressure cooker
  • 250 grams Chickpeas Kept in warm water for 6 to 8 hours or over night
  • 2 cup Water Need water while boil the chickpeas ( Chole )
  • 1/2 tsp Salt As par test

For Boil the chole in the pressure cooker
  1. First of all, you need to keep the chole in the water overnight or minimum 6 to 7 hours so the chole can become some smoother.
  2. Now add the chole into the pressure cooker and drop the 2 cups of clean water into it or add water as needed. Also, add the salt as per test.
  3. Then let it cook for 3 to 4 whistles or until the chole become smooth. Check the chole that it becomes smooth or not by bite it.
To ready the gravy for chana masala
  1. First of all, place the pan on the stove and start the flame. Add some oil into the pan and let the pan heat.
  2. Now add chopped onion and chopped tomato in the pan. Saute it until the onion become brown and tomatoes become smoother.
  3. Also add the ginger garlic pest and fry it for a while.
  4. Drop all the mixture in a blander jar and make smooth puree from it by run the blander.
  5. You can add some chole to make puree thikker.
Finally Let's Make chana masala recipe
  1. Now place the pan on the stove and start the flame. drop the oil into the pan as needed.
  2. Now drop cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and bay leaf into the hot oil. saute for a while until it fries properly.
  3. You can add finely chopped onion into the pan. It is optional. Fry it until it becomes brown.
  4. Now add the puree into the pan and mix it properly. saute it properly and let it cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Now add Garam masala, red chili powder, dry mango powder, cumin, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chole masala, and salt into the mixture and saute it properly.
  6. Now add boiled chickpeas into the mixture and mix it well and let it cook properly.
  7. In Last add kasuri methi and chopped coriander into chana masala.
  8. The chana masala is ready to serve.
