Instructions
To boil the dal for dal fry
  1. First of all, take a cup of Toor dal and wash it properly with clean water.
  2. Drop this dal into the cooker and add 2 cups of water and add some salt as per test.
  3. Place the cooker on the stove and start the flame and set it to medium.
  4. Now let dal boil till 3 to 4 whistle in the pressure cooker. After this, your dal will be ready to fry.
Lets make dal fry recipe
  1. First of all, place the pan on the stove and start the flame. Add oil, ghee or butter as per your requirement.
  2. Now drop asafoetida, crushed green chilies, and crushed onion into the pan and let it fry for a while and saute it until the onion becomes brown.
  3. Now add the ginger garlic pest and let it fry for 1 minute.
  4. Now add crushed tomato into the mixture and add the salt as per test. saute it properly until tomatoes become softer.
  5. Now add turmeric powder, dry mango powder, garam masala powder, red chili powder, and cumin and coriander powder into the pan and saute it well.
  6. Now mash the boiled dal and add it into the mixture and mix it properly. you can add water to maintain it's thickness as per your choice.
  7. Now saute the dal properly and let it cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
  8. Now the dal is ready, you can add kasoori methi into the dal. Saute it and let it cook for a minute.
  9. Now add some coriander leaves and turn off the stove.
  10. Your dal fry recipe is now ready to serve.
